This Easter cut and paste activity gives children the chance to practise their number recognition, number correspondence and counting skills while also strengthening their fine motor, design and technology skills. It includes Easter baskets labelled 1 to 12 and egg templates so that students can cut and paste the corresponding number of eggs into their Easter basket. The basket number each student is given can be chosen according to their skill level and all of the baskets can be displayed together at the end and used to reinforce number and counting skills. The egg templates provided not only come in patterns but also in plain eggs in case you would like to encourage your students’ creativity by asking them to make their own patterns on the eggs. All templates come in black and white and can be coloured in by students either prior to or after cutting and pasting the eggs into the baskets.
