J’ai… Qui a… ? Walk and Talk FRENCH numbers game is a lively whole-group communicative activity, perfect for practicing numbers 0-31 in French. The game has a multi-skill focus: speaking, listening and reading, and some basic engagement with writing in French.
The aim of the game is to create a French human number chain as quickly as possible. The game works best against a timer, regularly over a longer-term series of lessons, and several times in a single lesson – can students beat their own time record?
Students can also apply their knowledge of numbers in a very practical way, practice their French spelling, and put their artistic talents to good use at the same time, by creating their own set of question cards on the quiz card template. I've described the resource as suitable for all grades, because it really does depend on the age at which your students begin their French, and the stage at which they are currently working. I've played this game many times with grown-ups too, so it's very versatile! Do some high-speed counting warm-up activities, forwards & backwards, to get everyone ready to play!
